Marissa Katz received her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University. She has recently performed the roles of Papagena in The Magic Flute, Adele in Die Fledermaus, and Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro with Amato Opera. In 2005 she will be performing the role of Frasquita in Carmen and Gianetta in Elixir of Love. Last May Marissa performed with Pacific Opera at Carnegie Hall. She has also recently performed duets throughout the New Jersey and New York areas. Some include scenes from Romeo and Juliet as Juliet, Maria in West Side Story, Sophie in Werther, Adina in Elixir of Love, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, and Cunegonde from Candide. In the summer of 2003 Marissa debuted in the original production of Fair Liberty's Call through Hofstra USA Productions at Hofstra University and at the South Street Seaport Museum.
